The Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program prepares nurses for advanced practice roles as clinical experts, managers, educators, and consultants. The program provides advanced study with a major focus on clinical experience and culminates with the Master of Science degree in Nursing. The program provides a broad background of basic physiology, advanced pathophysiology, and advanced health assessment. Diagnostic reasoning skills are taught and developed as students learn the advanced nursing management and technology skills needed to care for acute, chronic, and critically ill individuals and their families.
