Abstract
Our group has been chosen to pursue and develop a Tape-Looper project, sponsored by Pr. Sinan Muftu. The goal of this project is to develop a system for experiementally testing recording heads, rollers, and posts, as well as various media types. The expectations for the final deliverable systems include an extensive depth of configurability, a wide rage for web speed and tension, a data acquisition and feedback control system, accommodation for varied web widths, as well as the elimination of any sources of error.
