The Office of Government Relations is Northeastern University’s primary liaison with state and federal governments. In addition, the office assists the university’s internal constituencies — schools, centers and institutes, faculty, students and staff — in facilitating their relationships with the state and federal policy makers. This includes public policy development and advocating on behalf of the university on significant issues related to higher education and research. The office also provides strategic counsel, including development of policy options and initiatives for the university, and facilitates interactions between the university and governmental entities. The Office of Government Relations works in close coordination with the Office of City and Community Affairs.
